How it Works
Deep Oscillation MLD is an electrostatic, electromechanical field therapy, which promotes lymphatic drainage of the tissues. As opposed to externally applied, mechanical forms of massage therapy which vibrate on the skin surface, deep oscillation works through the entire tissue layers to a depth of 8 cm. This is shown to reach through skin, connective tissue, fat, muscles, and blood and lymph vessels.
Application Process
Deep Oscillation MLD is often performed with gloves, attached to the therapist via an electrode adhered to their arm. The patient holds a titanium bar whilst the massage is performed, allowing pulsed oscillations to penetrate your skin. This process is very gentle and non-invasive. In fact, most patients often feel relaxed whilst getting it done.
